During this 3 hour workshop we will explore how yoga (including breathwork and meditation) can help with the ups and downs of daily life.
We will:
~ Cultivate self-love, confidence and inner peace through affirmations and guided meditation.
~ Practice calming and balancing breathing techniques for better sleep & relaxation.
~ Learn about practical mindfulness tips to use in daily life.
~ De-stress and unwind through Restorative Yoga poses and Yoga Nidra (a type of guided meditation that places the body into a a state of deep rest and healing).

Mala Bead Half Day Workshop
To begin you will be guided through a short, gentle yoga practice to stretch the body and unblock stagnant energies, accompanied with balancing breathwork.
You will then be assisted in creating your very own Mala beads, which are used as a meditation aid. You can choose from a huge selection of beads and crystals!
Mala Beads are a traditional tool used in meditation and mindfulness practices. These beautiful beads, made of various materials such as wood, gemstones, or seeds, have 108 beads and a guru bead or tassel. The Mala beads can be used alongside the repetition of a mantra or intention, which allows us to focus inward, calm the mind and connect to a deeper sense of self.
After making your Mala beads you will enjoy a delicious vegetarian lunch and treats.
We will end with a wonderful guided meditation session, which will infuse a connection with your newly made Mala beads.

A 90 minute worshop where we will explore 2 different styles of yoga and calming breathwork to help ease a busy mind and relieve stress.
The Yoga Styles we will explore:
Hatha - A Slow Flow which encourages mobility, strength, balance and co-ordination in the body.
Yin - Using bolsters (large pillows), blocks or straps to support the body in stretching the deeper tissues of the body and strengthening the joints.
After the physical practice we will explore Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep) meditation and breathwork.

Yin Yoga & Relaxation Workshop

What to expect:
This workshop will begin with focused breathwork to help allow the body and mind relax during the Yin Yoga practice.
After the Yin Yoga practice you will be guided into a deep state of relaxation and healing (Yoga Nidra).
What is Yin Yoga?
In this style of yoga we relax into the physical poses (which are performed either seated or lying down) for 3-5 minutes.
Through resting in the poses for this duration of time your body responds by allowing your connectve tissues to lengthen and become stronger, this in turn increases blood-flow, circulation and flexibility. Yin yoga can also help calm and reset the nervous system.
What is Yoga Nidra?
Yoga Nidra is a type of guided meditation, also known as ‘yogic sleep’. A 1 hour Yoga Nidra session can have the benefit of 3-4 hours of restful sleep!
During the Yoga Nidra practice our body moves into a state of deep rest and healing.

You will be warmly welcomed at Harmony Yoga Studio where you will be invited to choose from a huge selection of beads and crystals to create your very own Mala bead set.

Once you have made your very own Mala bead set, you will be guided through a special meditation, so as to infuse a connection with them, so they will be a powerful meditation aid for you, for years to come.
